The activity, driven by the International Association of Professionals for Road Safety (AIPSEV) with support from the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and the Michelin Foundation, took place at the center's facilities, under the purview of the Department of Social Services. The primary goal is to offer accessible road safety training to this group.
Journalist and road safety specialist Bernardo Hernández delivered an interactive talk specifically designed for the center's users. During the event, safety materials were distributed to enhance autonomy and safety in their daily commutes.
The Gáldar Local Police also collaborated, allowing participants to get a close look at a police vehicle and engage in a practical activity focused on safe mobility.
The Department of Citizen Security, led by Valeria Guerra, supported the development of this initiative, which combines training, prevention, and inclusion, delivering road safety knowledge to different communities in an accessible manner.
The Gáldar City Council has expressed its gratitude to all involved entities: AIPSEV, Bernardo Hernández, the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the Michelin Foundation, and the Gáldar Local Police, for their contribution to promoting safer and more accessible mobility.
