Drag Ácrux emerged victorious at the Queen of Queens gala of the Gáldar Pride 2026, held on Friday, June 19th, at the packed Recinto Cultural La Quinta.

The winning act, titled "He who does not risk does not win… And you, do you bet on me?", featured a staging inspired by Elvis Presley and the aesthetic of Las Vegas, incorporating elements of gambling. Drag Ácrux's performance received the highest score and concluded with an aerial flip at the edge of the stage, a highlight of the evening.
The gala, hosted by Inés Hernand and Samantha Ballentines, opened with a musical number featuring Ronia Alvarado, High Hells Performance, and Rouge Studio. The stage then welcomed the contestants, including Drag Eiko, Drag Yshia Taisma, Drag Hefesto, Drag Ignea, and Drag Shiky, whose acts showcased characteristic drag elements like costumes, choreography, and stagecraft.
The final round saw Ácrux, Ignea, and Shiky compete in a lip sync battle to Aitana's song "Super estrella". The jury's evaluation was supplemented by audience votes from randomly selected attendees. The crowning was performed by the mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa, and the deputy mayor, Julio Mateo Castillo.
The night also included a performance by rapper Ptazeta, who sang tracks such as "Trakatá" and "Mami". Other stage guests included Drag La Tacones, LaCa Udilla, Grimassira Maeva, and Drag Sequins, the winner of the previous year's Queen of Queens.
The Gáldar Pride 2026 program also featured the premiere of "Noche Pride" and the show "Furor, furor", hosted by Alonso Caparrós, followed by the "Glitter Party" and music from DJ Vilu Gontero.
During the main events, the Gáldar City Council established Violet Points at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta. These safe spaces, operational from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM, provide prevention, information, and support for situations of sexist violence or discrimination, in coordination with law enforcement and the Equality Department.
