To ensure road safety during the Sardina Viva 2026 Festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, and Sunday, September 13th, special traffic and parking regulations will be implemented around Avenida Alcalde Antonio Rosas.
Starting from 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 10th, parking will be prohibited in the affected section of Avenida Alcalde Antonio Rosas, which will be properly signposted. Vehicle circulation in this area will be limited, and traffic will be diverted via Carretera de Botija, Daoiz y Velarde, Avenida Alcalde Antonio Rosas, and the GC-202.
During the festival days, vehicular access to Avenida de la Playa will also be restricted, as the usual barrier will not be opened during its normal hours.
The public transport stop on Avenida Alcalde Antonio Rosas will be temporarily moved approximately 150 meters to the junction with the GC-202. Additionally, Global will extend the operating hours of the line towards Sardina-Gáldar on the night of Saturday, September 12th, until 2:00 AM on Sunday, September 13th.
Resident vehicle access will also be restricted during certain periods: from 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 12th, to 2:00 AM on Sunday, September 13th, and again on Sunday, September 13th, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
The Gáldar City Council requests the utmost cooperation from the public, especially residents and users of the affected roads, and emphasizes the importance of respecting the temporary signage installed for the event. These measures aim to ensure safety and facilitate the festival's activities.
