Gáldar has had a new Treasurer since this Tuesday, August 11. Jordán Carmelo Jiménez Hernández, a national civil servant in Local Administration, Intervention-Treasury Sub-scale, Entry category, has taken possession of his position.
The ceremony took place at the Casas Consistoriales (Town Hall) and was attended by the mayor of the city, Teodoro Sosa Monzón; the Councilor for Finance, Valeria Guerra; the Deputy Secretary of the Council, María del Carmen Zarzo Lobeira, and other council members.
The mayor congratulated the new Treasurer, wishing him success in his duties and his contribution to the proper functioning of the Town Hall. This appointment follows Order TDF/822/2026, dated July 28 and published in the Official State Gazette on August 5, 2026, which designates career civil servants and assigns their first posting.
