The Gran Canaria municipality will be adorned with pride, celebration, and advocacy during the Gáldar Pride 2026 weekend, an event aiming to be an epicenter of equality, respect, and tolerance.
The first major night will be tomorrow with the Queen of Queens Gala at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta starting at 9:00 PM. Hosted by Inés Hernand and Samantha Ballantines, the show will feature performances by Ptazeta, Dj Pepino Marino, Grimassira Maeva, and the drag artist La Caudilla, alongside the competing drag contestants.
On Saturday, Plaza de Santiago will host the fun High Heel Race at 12:00 PM. In the afternoon, starting at 5:00 PM, one of the most anticipated events, the grand parade of Gáldar Pride 2026, will travel from the Guanartemes promenade to the Recinto Cultural La Quinta, where a large party awaits attendees with performances by DJ, Inés Hernand, Manny Manuel, and Aseres.
Sunday will feature Gáldar Pride by Day starting at 2:30 PM at the Recinto Cultural La Quinta with performances by Kilombo Improvisado, Nueva Línea, and Armonía Show. The closing event will be the Arkoiris Awards Gala, hosted by Roberto Herrera and Paula Vázquez, recognizing professionals, companies, and groups for their work in promoting and defending LGTBIQ+ rights.
Complementing the events, a photographic exhibition on Gáldar Pride, featuring 22 snapshots from previous editions, is on display in Plaza de Santiago. All events are free to enter until full capacity.
In conjunction with the event, the City Council has reinforced Global bus lines 105 and 401, connecting the town center with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Sardina del Norte throughout the weekend.
