Under the slogan “On the way to Teror, Pilgrim Walk Safely”, the initiative has prepared 200 safety kits to contribute to a more visible, secure, and comfortable pilgrimage. This initiative consolidates its growth, increasing the provision by 33% compared to the previous year and exceeding the initial quantity by 233%.
The kits include reflective material, portable lights, water, and food, basic resources designed to help pilgrims be more easily identified by other road users, especially in low-visibility sections, and to face the journey in better conditions.
The Local Police reminds everyone of the importance of wearing high-visibility items, using the safest parts of the road, following the instructions of security personnel, and maintaining responsible conduct throughout the entire itinerary. Prevention and citizen collaboration are key for the normal and safe development of the traditional pilgrimage.
The 200 safe mobility kits will be available at the Gáldar Local Police headquarters on the afternoon of September 7th, until supplies last. Pilgrims are encouraged to plan their route, wear high-visibility items, and follow the recommendations of security and emergency personnel at all times.
