Gáldar Ybarra has secured its place in the Final Four of the Disa Gobierno de Canarias regional league by defeating Almogarén with a score of 12-10 in a packed arena.

The match, held in a full arena and preceded by a moment of silence for the victims of the earthquakes in Venezuela, was characterized by its tactical nature over technical skill. Following a 12-12 draw in the first leg, the objective was to be the first to eliminate an opponent, anticipating that the top wrestlers would struggle to defeat each other. In this strategy, Gáldar Ybarra proved superior, with Alberto Zamora serving as a key support after top wrestler A Alejandro Mendoza.
The home team started with a 5-2 lead, thanks to points scored by Luis González, Contreras, Birame, and DC Juancho Martín. Almogarén attempted to balance the contest with several strong performers and PC Pollo del Callejón VI, who, along with Lucho González and Fran Cazorla, managed to tie the score at 5-5.
The visitors' first setback came with the elimination of their DB Fran Cazorla by DC Oliver Sánchez, making the score 6-6. Subsequently, PC Pollo del Callejón VI was disqualified due to warnings, followed by the elimination of DB Javi González by DB Moisés Pérez, who also took DC Lucho González out of the fight, putting the score at 8-6 for the hosts. After a separation in the DC duel between Sonko and Cristo López (9-7), PB Álvaro Déniz received a warning, reducing the difference to 9-8.
PC Ismael Déniz could not overcome DB Moisés Pérez, resulting in a separation that kept the match close (10-9). The local top wrestlers defeated Kiki Ojeda and Néstor Mejías (11-10). Finally, in the duel of top wrestlers, PB Álvaro Déniz was eliminated by an additional warning, leading to protests from the visiting fans towards the referee regarding the passivity of the local top wrestler, PA Alberto Zamora, who defended his position and secured the victory for his team.

Great party on the sand with a marching band included!

In the semifinals, Gáldar Ybarra will face Tamanca palmero, a team featuring Canarian top wrestler Fernando Rodríguez, which defeated Unión Antigua 10-12. The other semifinal will be a repeat of last season's match, a Tenerife derby between Chimbesque and Tegueste.
