The Santa María de Guía City Council has implemented signage and parking restrictions on various streets in the town center and surrounding areas for the Las Marías Festival this weekend.

To mark the Las Marías Festival this weekend, several streets in the town center and surrounding areas have been marked with parking prohibitions. Informative signs have also been installed detailing the schedules for road closures along the routes for the 'bajada de la rama' on Saturday, September 19th, and the pilgrimage on Sunday, September 20th.
Notably, Cuesta Caraballo will experience intermittent traffic cuts starting at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 19th, depending on pilgrim attendance. From 5:00 PM onwards, circulation will be completely prohibited until the walkers reach the town center.
On Saturday, September 19th, special Global bus services will depart from the public transport interchange on C/ Lomo Guillén (next to the Civil Guard barracks) starting at 3:30 PM. These services will transport attendees to the Lomo Vergara area to begin the pilgrimage.
On Sunday, September 20th, from 11:00 AM, access to the town center will only be possible via calle Lomo Guillén. From there, various areas can be reached, with access to San Roque through calle Dolores de Sosa, as the usual ascent route will remain closed.
The sports pavilion's esplanade will be available for vehicle parking. Residents and visitors are kindly requested to respect the installed signage for the proper development of the events.
The Guía City Council expresses its gratitude for the cooperation of residents and visitors, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the safety instructions provided by the Local Police and Civil Protection for the successful execution of the scheduled events.
