The Puerto del Rosario City Council has approved a multi-year investment plan of 9,529,660 euros to execute strategic projects between 2026 and 2029.
The municipality of Puerto del Rosario is set for a significant transformation with the approval of an ambitious multi-year investment plan. The initiative, extending until 2029, will allocate a total of 9,529,660 euros to modernize key infrastructure, improve public services, and enhance the quality of life in both its neighborhoods and rural areas.
To ensure the feasibility of these large-scale projects, an exceptional modification of spending limits has been approved, a necessary step as detailed by Mayor David de Vera.
The bulk of the investment, exceeding 7.3 million euros, will be concentrated in the year 2027. Among the most notable projects are the asphalting and service replacement in the El Charco neighborhood (3.68 million euros), the renovation of services and asphalting in Las Granadas (1.34 million euros), and asphalting works and speed limiters in rural areas (over 715,000 euros).
Further ahead, 1.44 million euros will be dedicated to the refurbishment of Risco Prieto park, with execution planned between 2026 and 2029. The plan also includes investments in cultural facilities, such as the La Matilla cultural center (650,727 euros), and security infrastructure, like the Fire Station (423,285 euros), along with accessibility improvements in coastal areas like Playa Blanca.
The Councilor for Public Works, Ana Hernández, emphasized that the plan aims to improve road safety, guarantee basic services like sanitation and supply, and create higher-quality public spaces. Meanwhile, the Councilor for Economy and Finance, Juan Manuel Verdugo, stated that the long-term planning is being conducted with legal certainty and the necessary financial mechanisms to avoid compromising the City Council's economic health.
