The Canary Islands Housing Institute has initiated the contracting process for the rehabilitation of 40 protected homes in the La Oliva II complex, in La Oliva (Fuerteventura), with a base tender budget of 843,651.23 euros.

The project, promoted by the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Public Works, Housing, and Mobility through the ICAVI, aims to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings and reduce energy consumption, thereby contributing to better living conditions for residents.
This intervention is part of Program 1 for neighborhood-level rehabilitation actions, funded by European Next Generation EU funds. The investment seeks not only energy improvement but also a reduction in non-renewable primary energy consumption.
The 40 homes in La Oliva II are part of a joint expediente with an estimated value of 2,378,453.67 euros (excluding IGIC). This larger contract also includes actions on 50 homes in the Fabelo complex in Puerto del Rosario and 10 in Valle Santa Inés, Betancuria, totaling 100 public homes across Fuerteventura to be improved in three lots.
