The former capital of Lanzarote will host the White Night 2026 under the slogan "Let yourself be seen, let yourself be carried away," combining culture, heritage, music, gastronomy, and shows in the historic center. The event, organized by the Teguise City Council, aims to attract residents and visitors to its emblematic streets and squares.
The well-established cultural event in Lanzarote, which highlights Teguise's heritage, also seeks to boost the local economy, particularly the commercial and hospitality sectors, by anticipating the attendance of thousands of people.
Plaza de Los Leones will be the hub for major performances, including "Sueños que Cobran Vida" by the Jóvenes del Musical de Teguise, the visual show "Mascarada," a parade by the comparsa Los Cumbacheros, Cristina Ramos's performance "De la Ópera al Rock," and a tribute to artist Olga Tañón.
Canarian tradition and popular music will resonate in other venues. The groups La Aldaba, Gurfines Son del Puerto, Pal Porrón, and Dani Valiente will perform at El Hoyo and La Tahona. Plaza Clavijo y Fajardo will host bands like Defecto Venturi, Kilombo Improvisado, Arpegio, and Los Lola, promoting local talent.
Iconic spaces such as the Municipal Music School, the Teguise Mill, and the Timple Museum House will offer cultural and gastronomic experiences. At the mill, visitors can learn about the traditional gofio-making process with tastings and live music, while the museum house will feature pairings of local wines and a concert by Alexis Lemes, along with videomapping.
The children's program at Plaza Maciot de Bethencourt will include workshops, storybook characters, attractions, and the musical "Moraleja." For young people, La Mareta Joven will offer creative activities, workshops, immersive experiences, and DJ sets.
The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, emphasized that the White Night is consolidating as a major cultural event in Lanzarote, inviting everyone to enjoy the magic of La Villa and boost commercial activity. Culture Councilor Andoni Machín highlighted the commitment to a varied, quality program for all audiences.
The Ángel Guerra House of Culture will host fashion shows by local designers and brands, notably featuring designer José Perea, as well as the contemporary dance performance "Vidas y Vueltas" by Siscu Ruz.
Santa Bárbara Castle will host "La Noche Negra: Los Piratas," an immersive theatrical experience inspired by pirate legends, which has been a popular activity in previous editions for its blend of historical heritage and audience participation.
The event will also include art and photography exhibitions, electronic music sessions, live performances, and diverse gastronomic offerings. Numerous commercial establishments will remain open with special initiatives.
The celebration aims to transform the historic center of Teguise into a vibrant space of culture, leisure, and heritage, encouraging residents and visitors to dress in white and participate in a day that enhances the appeal of one of Canary Islands' most representative historic areas.
The 14th edition of the White Night aims to repeat the success of previous events, solidifying Teguise as a cultural benchmark in Lanzarote and showcasing its architectural and cultural heritage, which preserves one of the best-preserved historic complexes in the Canary Islands.
