During the month of June, the service recorded 25,993 passengers, representing a 3.91% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth translates into 978 additional passengers who have chosen collective transport for their daily travel across the island.
The use of subsidized travel passes remains the preferred option among citizens, utilized by six out of every ten users during the first semester. In total, more than 110,000 people have used some form of travel pass for their journeys.
The route connecting Vallehermoso with San Sebastián de La Gomera remains one of the most popular, with 9,074 passengers in June, an 8% increase over the previous year. Meanwhile, the connection to the Airport saw a significant growth of 30.05%, reaching 2,956 users.
To meet this demand, the Cabildo has invested over 3.1 million euros in fleet renewal, adding twelve new units that bring the total number of available vehicles to 24. Additionally, a new mobile application has been launched to facilitate access to schedules, routes, and real-time arrival information.
