Taguluche Celebrates Festivities Honoring Virgen del Buen Viaje and San Juan de Dios

The neighborhood of Taguluche is preparing to celebrate its annual festivities honoring the Virgen del Buen Viaje and San Juan de Dios from August 27th to 29th, featuring a program of religious, children's, and musical events.

From August 27th to 29th, Taguluche will be the setting for its annual festivities. Over three days, the neighborhood will offer a diverse program of cultural, recreational, and religious activities for residents and visitors.
The program will commence on Thursday, August 27th, at 10:00 AM with the decoration of the main square, inviting community participation. In the afternoon, at 6:30 PM, a board games and bingo championship will take place at the Bar-Restaurante Taguluche. The day will conclude at 9:00 PM with a performance by Ricardo Jiménez at the same venue.
Friday, August 28th, will begin with a children's party at 11:30 AM, featuring face painting and inflatables provided by Junior Producciones S. L. At 7:00 PM, a mass and subsequent procession in honor of San Juan de Dios will be held, accompanied by traditional chácaras and drums. The evening will be filled with music, starting with Tomás Duque at 9:00 PM, followed by a grand verbena (street dance) from 10:30 PM, enlivened by Grupo Caribe and Amanecer de La Gomera.
On Saturday, August 29th, children's activities will continue at 11:30 AM with a foam party and candy cannon, also organized by Junior Producciones S. L. At 5:00 PM, the traditional 'ramo' (floral offering) will be assembled at the Taguluche cultural center, with the collaboration of the Asociación del Ramo de Arure, and at 6:00 PM, its procession will begin.
Saturday's events will also include the mass and procession in honor of the Virgen del Buen Viaje at 6:30 PM, accompanied by chácaras and drums. Following this, at 8:00 PM, a communal meal will be offered with a performance by Grupo Guarapo. The festivities will conclude with a grand verbena starting at 10:30 PM, featuring music from Grupo Caribe and Grupo Relevé.
The Taguluche Festival Commission extends an invitation to all citizens to participate in the scheduled events, expressing gratitude for the essential collaboration of residents and visitors in preserving the neighborhood's traditions.
