In the poetry category, the prize was awarded to Pedro Jesús Moriche Hermoso for his work “Desde el otro lado del mar”. Meanwhile, Pablo Jerez Sabater received the award in the short story category for “Un eco que resuena”.
The jury, composed of Montserrat Cano, Ágatha Ayala González, and Carla Azocar Gallego, evaluated the artistic quality, originality, and unpublished nature of the submissions, as well as their theme centered on the island's festivals, traditions, and idiosyncrasies.

Pedro Jesús Moriche Hermoso, a graduate in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, has a career linked to literary creation, particularly in poetry and short stories, and has received over twenty awards.
Pablo Jerez Sabater, a professor of Art History, has published works on the artistic and religious heritage of the island of La Gomera and is finalizing his Doctoral Thesis on the island's cultural awakening between 1890 and 1931.
