The urbanization of plots in the La Montañeta neighborhood, in Ingenio, has reached its final stage with the marking of roads, one of the last planned tasks. This initiative represents a significant advancement in the area's planning and improvement.
The work has focused on sections of Martin Luther King, Madre Teresa de Calcuta, José Saramago, and Mahatma Gandhi streets. Essential infrastructure such as sewage and rainwater networks, public lighting, and road surfacing have been implemented.
The mayor, Vanesa Martín, and the Councilor for Urban Planning, Rayco Padilla, oversaw the progress of the works. Martín emphasized that the urbanization of La Montañeta is now a reality and reaffirmed the local government's commitment to completing the area's planning and advancing the project's subsequent phases.
Rayco Padilla stated that the municipal investment in this first phase amounts to approximately 170,000 euros. The City Council is already planning phases II and III, as well as the boundary roads, aiming to further enhance the surrounding environment and create public land for housing.
For the project's continuation, the Ingenio City Council has allocated a budget of 600,000 euros, approved in a plenary session last May. The plan includes preparing three plots for housing construction, thereby strengthening municipal policies to increase the availability of land for future residential projects.
