The intervention, with a budget of 500,000 euros, aims to improve safety and road conditions on one of the island's busiest routes, which handles up to 80,000 vehicles daily.
Work will take place from Monday to Thursday, between 10:30 PM and 6:00 AM, to minimize disruption. The project is divided into three phases that will require temporary traffic diversions to alternative routes such as the GC-191 or the El Goro industrial area.
The project includes removing worn pavement, applying a new five-centimeter bituminous layer, and updating horizontal signage. This work continues the improvements carried out last year on the northbound side of the same highway.
