Ingenio launches school aid for the 2026/2027 academic year

The Ingenio City Council has opened the application period for school aid aimed at students in the municipality for the 2026/2027 academic year, with an initial amount of 150 euros per beneficiary.

The call, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas on August 28, offers up to 150 initial grants of 150 euros to cover educational expenses. The deadline for submitting applications is next September 21.
These grants are aimed at students registered in Ingenio, enrolled in 6th grade of Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), Baccalaureate, or Vocational Training during the 2026/2027 academic year. Requirements include a maximum age of 25 years, family registration in the municipality with a minimum of three months' residency (except for exceptions), and enrollment in a public school in the municipality or on the island, in addition to meeting the established economic criteria.
Eligible expenses cover school equipment such as textbooks, teaching materials, sports equipment, musical instruments, professional attire, and ICT equipment (basic hardware like tablets, computers, printers, and accessories).
The maximum global amount allocated to this call is 22,500 euros. It is planned to benefit a maximum of 150 individuals with an initial grant of 150 euros. If the maximum number of beneficiaries is not reached, the individual amount could be proportionally increased up to a maximum of 225 euros.
