The urban future of Vecindario, in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, could significantly change following a proposal to modify the General Urban Planning Plan to allocate residential land for a large commercial complex.

The entity Animación y Educación Deportiva de Canarias S.L., owner of the land, has initiated a minor modification to the urban planning regulations. The objective is to replace the residential use planned for two plots, which would have originally housed 75 homes, with the construction of a large commercial complex focused on the food sector.
This request has been submitted to the City Council for processing. The affected plots are located within the SUSO-6 El Soco area, situated adjacent to the San Rafael Fairgrounds.
