The development will take place at Severo Ochoa street, number 59, has an estimated value of 1,632,392.01 euros, and is part of a global project that includes the construction of 126 protected public housing units in three municipalities of Gran Canaria, 29 of which are in Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
These homes are included in Program 6 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, aimed at promoting and increasing the public stock of energy-efficient housing for social or affordable rent, financed by the European Union through Next Generation EU funds.
The process will be expedited to meet deadlines for EU-funded projects and to address the proven demand for rental housing.
The estimated total value for the 126 homes in Gran Canaria is 26,258,717.45 euros (excluding IGIC) and is financed by the ICAVI, the Consortium of Housing of Gran Canaria, and Spanish Government's PRTR funds.
In addition to the eight homes in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, the overall project includes another 21 in the Casa Pastores neighborhood (Santa Lucía), 45 in Santa María de Guía, and two developments of 26 homes each in Gáldar.
