The alert was received by the CECOES 1-1-2 emergency center at 06:19, reporting flames and thick black smoke on the ground floor of the complex. The Fire and Rescue Service (SEIS) of San Bartolome de Tirajana arrived at the scene to begin containment efforts.
The fire was traced to an upholstery shop located in the workshop area of the center. After extinguishing the flames, crews carried out ventilation and safety checks. While there were no personal injuries, the affected premises sustained significant material damage, impacting most of its three-story structure.
The swift intervention by firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other units in the shopping center. Officers from the Local Police and the National Police Corps also assisted in securing the area and coordinating the emergency response.
