A three-month police investigation has culminated in the dismantling of a drug trafficking operation in the south of Gran Canaria. The establishment, located in Maspalomas, was advertised as a center for Ayurvedic therapies and tantric massages, but investigators suspected drug dealing was taking place inside.
The operation led to the arrest of two men, aged 48 and 25, allegedly involved in drug trafficking. During the investigation, officers seized narcotics from seven buyers, reinforcing suspicions about the illicit activity.
Following judicial authorization, both the investigated premises and a residence linked to the main suspect were simultaneously searched. Numerous substances prepared for distribution were found at both locations, including over 300 grams of a crystalline substance pending analysis and approximately 66.5 grams of another rocky substance.
Additionally, cocaine, mephedrone, hashish, and suspected ecstasy tablets were seized, along with various pharmaceuticals and 24 bottles of popper. Five precision scales, numerous bags and containers for dosing and packaging, mobile phones, documentation, and 410 euros in cash were also confiscated.
Police authorities reported that the seized synthetic drugs are associated with sexualized consumption contexts. The two detainees have been handed over to the competent judicial authority as alleged perpetrators of drug trafficking.
