The Antonio Moreno pavilion in Telde hosted the exciting final of the preseason tournament. The local team, coached by Dejan Ojeda, demonstrated their superiority in the second half of the match, coming back after a 11-11 tie at halftime.
Rocasa's players, with outstanding performances from Almudena Rodríguez, María Correia, Fernanda Lima, and Irene Botella, achieved a 6-1 run at the start of the second half that gave them the decisive lead. Saves by Ana Palomino and solid defense secured the victory, which at one point reached a seven-goal advantage.
Rocasa had the last possession of the first half to take the lead, but missed the attacking play, and the match went into halftime tied at 11.
In the match for third and fourth place, Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote defeated the Galician team Conservas Orbe Zendal BM Porriño 24-21, thus securing third position in the tournament.
The Lanzarote team dominated the game from the start, leading by six goals in the first half and up to seven in the second. Despite a couple of expulsions that allowed Porriño to dream of a comeback, Zonzamas managed to maintain their advantage to secure the win.
With these results, Rocasa Gran Canaria took the championship, followed by MSK IUVENTA Michalovce in second place and Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote in third. Conservas Orbe Zendal BM Porriño finished last.
