The incident took place on August 7, 2026, around 07:50 AM, when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert about the accident. After classifying the call, the details were transferred to the relevant emergency services.
Services involved in resolving the incident included the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), the Fire Extinction and Rescue Service of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, the Civil Guard, Civil Protection, and the Road Conservation Service.
Firefighters dispatched to the scene carried out firefighting tasks on two involved vehicles. Additionally, they freed one of the occupants who was trapped inside another vehicle.
The SUC coordinator mobilized four ambulances: one advanced life support and three basic life support units. Healthcare personnel assessed and assisted a total of eight individuals suffering from various traumas and injuries.
The injured, aged between 32 and 91, were transported to different local hospitals, including the University Hospital San Roque Maspalomas and the Hospiten Roca Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Civil Guard was responsible for preparing the corresponding official report to determine the causes of the collision.
