Puertos Canarios has awarded the refurbishment works for Explanada del Castillete street in Mogán port, Gran Canaria, for 672,897 euros.

The intervention, with a budget of 672,897 euros (excluding IGIC) and an execution period of six months, has been awarded to the consortium UTE Hermanos Medina La Herradura, S.L. and Constructora Lantigua e Hijos, S.L.
This action addresses the need to improve a non-concessioned area of the port that suffers from deficiencies in safety, accessibility, and functionality due to the increase in tourist, recreational, and fishing use. The objective is to adapt the street to the current level of use and enhance the urban image of this tourist hub.
The port of Mogán plays a key role in consolidating the tourist and urban center, forming a coastal front with residential, commercial, and service uses. The works will complement the improvements promoted by the Mogán City Council and organize an area of significant importance for residents, visitors, and economic activity.
The award is part of the smart ecoports strategy and concludes a simplified open procedure. The regional entity thus advances in improving its port spaces based on criteria of safety, accessibility, and service quality.
