The El Tablero Multifunctional Park, located in Maspalomas, will reopen its doors this Thursday starting at 5:00 PM. The Department of Parks and Gardens of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has completed an exhaustive rehabilitation and improvement plan for the recreational facility.
The reopening will feature animation activities, music, and surprises. The works, which have involved an investment of approximately 490,500 euros funded by the Cabildo's Cooperation Plan with Municipalities, aimed to enhance user safety and comfort.
Among the most significant actions is the complete repair of the sinkholes in the surface of the multi-sport court, which led to its precautionary closure. These works were used to expand and improve the sports facility.
Additionally, the impact-absorbing pavement and artificial turf in the children's areas have been renewed, trampolines have been installed, and metal slides have been replaced with more resistant ones. The picnic area has also been expanded, LED lighting has been installed, shaded areas with sails have been created, and the irrigation system and path signage have been improved.
Until the start of the 2026/27 school year, the park will offer a plan of children's activities every Thursday from 5:00 PM, designed to foster coexistence and the proper use of the public space.
