The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has initiated the tender process for the design and construction management of an elevated platform that will link Parque del Sur with the eastern slope of Sonnenland, with a budget of 309,171 euros.

This infrastructure, approximately 100 meters long and 19.50 meters wide, will span over Avenida Alejandro del Castillo. Its aim is not only to expand the park but also to optimize mobility and traffic flow, significantly reducing the visual, acoustic, and environmental impact of surface traffic.
In addition to traffic improvements, the platform will free up public space currently occupied by vehicles, dedicating it to pedestrian use, green areas, and community spaces. The project includes the reorganization of the underground road section, which will maintain four lanes (two in each direction), a one-meter median, and two sidewalks measuring 1.80 and 0.80 meters wide, respectively.
The awarded company will have two months to submit the basic project and four months for the execution project. The total contract duration, including construction management, will be 24 months, with a possible extension of another 12 months.
This elevated platform project will be complemented by the urbanization of the Sonnenland hillside into a future park, an initiative for which an investment of 3.9 million euros has already been allocated. The design of this latter project has been commissioned to Gesplan.
