The Municipal Pavilion of Tinajo will host this Saturday, October 3rd, starting at 5:00 PM, the second edition of the II Los Dolores Tournament Memorial Pablo Brieba Plata. Organized by CD Baloncesto Tizziri Tinajo, the event will feature senior competition for both men and women.
The day will serve as a tribute to Pablo Brieba, a figure deeply connected to basketball in Tinajo and Lanzarote. At the end of the tournament, one of the pavilion's stands will be named "Grada Pablo Brieba Plata", a permanent reminder of his legacy and passion for the sport.
Additionally, the official retirement of jersey number 45, worn by Brieba throughout his sports career, will take place. This number will never be used again by the club, symbolizing recognition of his contribution.
The club invites family, friends, players, and fans to join them on this significant day, emphasizing that "basketball is also memory, camaraderie, family, and the stories of those who left their mark." It is highlighted that Pablo Brieba will continue to be present in the pavilion and at every game.
