Arona Concludes Summer Sports with Record Registrations

The Arona City Council, through its Municipal Sports Board, has concluded its 2026 summer sports program with a total of 2,906 registrations, surpassing last year's figure and consolidating its offerings.

The figure of 2,906 participants represents an increase of 122 registrations compared to the previous summer, which recorded 2,784 attendees. This consolidation reinforces Arona Deportes' summer program as a regular feature within the municipal sports offerings.
During this edition, the Municipal Sports Board designed a diverse program, aimed at different ages and profiles. Activities took place both in sports facilities and in open spaces, including the beach and the maritime environment, combining sports disciplines, introductory sessions, and active leisure.
Among the most notable activities were nautical activities, which attracted 568 participants, followed by the ‘Polidivertido’ program with 285 participants, adult activities with 180, and beach games with 159 registrants. The program also included swimming for babies, children, and adults, sailing, beach volleyball, paddle tennis, and golf.
The summer campaign involved 25 qualified monitors and coaches, who were responsible for developing the various activities and ensuring their proper functioning in the different sports spaces.
