Arona Local Police arrested an individual in El Fraile on Wednesday for the theft of two machetes, discovering they had a national territory expulsion order.

An individual has been arrested in the municipality of Arona as the alleged perpetrator of the theft of two machetes from a commercial establishment in the El Fraile area. The police intervention was quickly activated following a call from a witness who observed the incident.
Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect attempted to flee on foot, discarding the two bladed weapons in a nearby vacant lot. Officers managed to intercept him and, after searching the area, recovered the machetes.
During identification at the police station, it was confirmed that the detainee had an active administrative order for expulsion from national territory. Consequently, he was formally arrested and brought before the competent judicial authority.
This arrest is part of the regular preventive controls carried out by the Arona Local Police. In parallel, traffic controls have been intensified throughout the municipality, resulting in several administrative fines for violations of traffic regulations.
