The Santiago del Teide City Council has activated the process to apply for financial aid for the purchase of textbooks and educational materials for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The local corporation has established the economic support mechanism for families in the municipality, aiming to facilitate the acquisition of essential materials for the upcoming academic year. Applications for these school grants are now available and can be processed through the council's electronic office.
Families meeting the conditions stipulated in the municipal ordinance have a specific timeframe to complete the process. The non-extendable deadline for submitting applications is July 13th. This measure targets students enrolled in Early Childhood Education (from 3 years old), Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO).
The primary purpose of this fund is to cover all or part of the expenses incurred from purchasing school textbooks and stationery items necessary for the proper development of classes. The local administration has emphasized that only expenses directly and objectively related to the current academic year's subjects will be considered eligible for subsidies.
To access these grants, applicants and their legal guardians must strictly demonstrate three essential requirements: being registered residents in Santiago del Teide for a minimum of six months, being enrolled in a public school or institute within the municipal area (with exceptions for neighboring towns justified by school transport routes), and meeting a family income limit per capita, calculated according to official scales and the current year's monthly IPREM.
The registration process has been divided into two channels. Residents can manage their applications digitally through the official town hall platform or in person at the municipal offices, which requires mandatory prior appointment. Downloadable templates and regulatory annexes are available in the edicts section of the institutional website.
