The new route, identified as line 464, aims to facilitate daily travel for residents, particularly workers, between the north and south of the island. The journey will follow the TF-82 to Santiago del Teide, then continue via the TF-1 motorway to the Costa Adeje station.
This line will complement the existing service of the route 460, which connects various towns in the north and south. The new transport option will operate seven days a week, with a frequency of two hours, and is expected to alleviate current demand, which has seen a 4% increase in the first months of the year, with over 240,500 users on route 460.
The introduction of line 464 is part of the Cabildo's initiatives to enhance public transport capacity in Tenerife. TITSA has increased its offering to over 160 million seats this year, a record figure for the company. In the last three years, 800 daily trips and 351 new vehicles have been added, also achieving a 7.6% reduction in CO₂ emissions.
