The CajaCanarias Foundation continues its 2026 Cultural Autumn program tomorrow, Thursday, September 24th, with the show Amar, starring Alberto San Juan and Fernando Egozcue. Tickets for this recital, which blends music and words to invite reflection, sold out weeks ago. The performance will take place at 8:00 PM at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Amar is the result of the shared work over nearly a decade by actor Alberto San Juan and composer and guitarist Fernando Egozcue. Both creators use words and music as a common ground to reflect on existence, beauty, and the contradictions of the contemporary world.
The performance offers an intimate dialogue between texts and musical compositions, intertwining humor, thought, emotion, and sensitivity to celebrate the joy of living while also highlighting the forces that hinder this fullness.
Alberto San Juan is a renowned performer and creator on the Spanish stage, co-founder of the companies Animalario and Teatro del Barrio, with an extensive career in film and theater. Fernando Egozcue, an Argentine composer and guitarist, has built a solid career linked to jazz, tango, and contemporary music, collaborating with artists such as Ara Malikian and José Mercé.
