Grupo Anfi has formalized a strategic alliance with 'Challenge Family', a global triathlon circuit, aiming to establish itself as a leading sports destination and attract top-tier international competitions to Gran Canaria.

This collaboration seeks to diversify the tourism offering and enhance the island's global projection, solidifying it as a prime location for training and family sports tourism. José Luis Trujillo, General Director of Grupo Anfi, emphasized that "sports activity must be the spearhead of our objectives."
Through this agreement, Anfi directly connects with the elite of the international triathlon calendar, a circuit that organizes over thirty competitions worldwide and recently joined the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO). The goal is to showcase Anfi and Gran Canaria globally, attracting athletes of all levels.
Trujillo highlighted the "exceptional conditions we offer for hosting international events," thereby boosting its sports division, Anfi Sports Academy. This academy combines performance and rest with top-tier facilities, a privileged climate, and an ideal natural environment for comprehensive training, describing it as "a paradise for the athlete and also for their family."
Last year, Anfi Sports Academy hosted over 600 athletes who participated in fifteen tailor-made training camps. They have provided guidance to athletes in disciplines such as cycling, triathlon, football, and swimming, who found an optimal environment to train and improve their performance.

"Anfi is the perfect destination to live a complete experience. Triathlon is much more than competing; it's about living and enjoying sports in a community, and all the conditions are met here."

The ultimate objective is to transform this unique space into a sports epicenter where various disciplines coexist. Figures like cyclist Filippo Ganna, triathletes Jonathan Brownlee and Patrick Lange, swimmer Caleb Dressel, and elite teams such as Movistar Team and Ineos have already found more than just a stopover in Anfi: a championship destination.
