Getafe CF was crowned champion of the Trofeo Ciudad de Santa Cruz after defeating CD Tenerife 1-2 with a goal from Zaid Romero in the 89th minute, in a match held at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium.

The match, which marked the return of the trophy after a decade, began with a strong start from CD Tenerife, who dominated the first half and had several chances to take the lead. A long-range shot from Krdzalic and two more attempts by the same player tested Getafe CF's goalkeeper, Diego Ferrer. The home team managed to capitalize on their dominance with a goal from Víctor Moreno in the 38th minute, following a backheel assist from Pecar.
After the introduction of six starters from Getafe in the second half, the game shifted. Play became more divided, with a slightly greater visitor dominance. Getafe began to create dangerous chances, and Uche earned a penalty that Satriano converted in the 54th minute, leveling the score.
The second half was more contentious and disjointed, with constant interruptions due to fouls from the Madrid team, which generated some tension at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López. However, in the 88th minute, Mario Martín found space to test the local goalkeeper Gabriel De Vuyst, whose save led to a corner. The corner kick, taken by Kiko Femenía, was flicked on by Mario Martín to Zaid Romero, who only had to push the ball into the net to secure a last-minute victory for Getafe CF.
