The festival, organized by the Government of the Canary Islands, presents a journey through current Spanish musical creation with works by J. Planells, J. M. López López, J. Rueda, J. M. Sánchez Verdú, and the premiere of icebergs melt at night by the Canarian composer José Luis Perdigón. The pieces explore new compositional strategies and the perception of musical time.
The concerts will take place on October 10th at 7:30 PM at Espacio La Granja (Tenerife) and on October 11th at 7:00 PM at Teatro Guiniguada (Gran Canaria). Tickets are priced at 5 euros and are available on the festival's website and those of both venues.
The proposal brings together different generations and creative perspectives that dialogue with musical tradition through reinterpretation and transformation.
The program is complemented by the educational cycle #endiálogo, which on October 8th at 7:00 PM at the Real Academia Canaria de Bellas Artes (RACBA) in Tenerife will address the relationship between music and architecture through the figure of Iannis Xenakis, led by musicologist José Luis Besada. Admission is free.
Finally, the festival proposes the acoustic ecology experience La memoria sonora del paisaje (The Sound Memory of the Landscape), organized in collaboration with Ben Magec-Ecologistas en Acción. This activity will take place on Sunday, October 11th, at 10:00 AM at Finca Samsó (Santa María de Guía, Gran Canaria), with free prior registration.
