The initiative, managed by the Canary Employment Service (SCE), aims to improve the employability of people facing greater difficulties in entering the labor market. The projects, funded by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, will have a duration of eleven and a half months.
Each project will have 15 places, where selected participants will sign a contract for alternance training. They will combine 65% of paid work on projects of public utility and social interest with 35% of theoretical-practical training, allowing them to obtain professional certificates.
The target beneficiaries are unemployed individuals, particularly those with low qualifications, over 45 years of age, people with disabilities (33% or higher), and women. 55% of the places are reserved for women, with special emphasis on victims of gender-based violence.
To ensure equitable distribution, at least one project is assigned to each of the seven major islands. Tenerife and Gran Canaria will each receive thirty-eight projects, with 570 participants. Lanzarote will develop five projects (75 participants), La Palma and Fuerteventura will each execute four (60 participants), La Gomera will host two (30 participants), and El Hierro will have one project (15 participants).
Accredited entities have 20 days to submit their applications from the day following the publication of the call's extract in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC), through the electronic headquarters of the Government of the Canary Islands.
