A van caught fire early this afternoon on Los Guanches street in La Laguna, leading to its total destruction and material damage to a nearby building's facade.

Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium intervened to extinguish a van fire that broke out in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The incident, which occurred on Los Guanches street in the Barrio Nuevo area, resulted in the complete destruction of the vehicle and caused alarm in the vicinity.
The flames from the vehicle produced an intense black smoke column, noticeable from several kilometers away and reaching areas like Las Chumberas. The heat and radiation from the fire also caused material damage to the facade of an adjacent building.

Law enforcement secured the perimeter while firefighters worked to extinguish and cool down the remains of the van.
