The new coach of CB Canarias, Jaka Lakovic, has been officially presented in Tenerife, taking on the role with a two-season contract and the goal of consolidating the sports project.

During his official presentation, the Slovenian coach defined three fundamental pillars for his time at the club: collective commitment, consistency in daily work, and ambition. He noted that these principles are essential to maintain the competitive level that characterizes the team.
The club's management described Jaka Lakovic's arrival as a breath of fresh air. The coach highlighted the human and professional quality of the current squad, emphasizing that qualities such as leadership and experience are assets that cannot be bought.
Regarding sports planning, the coach indicated that the team will look to strengthen key positions, with the intention of forming a group of at least thirteen players. He also expressed his desire for veteran figures on the team to continue leading the project, highlighting the harmony in the conversations held.
Physical and tactical preparation will begin on August 16, with a preseason that will include several friendly matches. The goal set by the coach is clear: to compete at the highest level from the first training session to reach targets such as the Eurocup playoffs, the Copa del Rey, and the Liga Endesa.
