The swimming pool at Ciudad Deportiva Venancio Monzón in Gáldar will begin its liner replacement next Monday, June 1st, utilizing the draining period for various maintenance and refurbishment tasks.

The Department of Physical Activity, Sports, and Health of the Gáldar City Council has informed users of the Ciudad Deportiva Venancio Monzón about the commencement of works to replace the municipal pool's liner. These tasks, starting on Monday, June 1st, aim to renew this deteriorated element of the facility.
During the pool's draining, various maintenance and improvement jobs will be carried out, including filter cleaning, inspection and servicing of circulation pumps, as well as painting and cleaning of the gutters.
The councilor for the area, Ancor Bolaños, emphasized the importance of this intervention for the continuous improvement of the municipality's sports infrastructure. He explained that following the recent installation of a new heat pump and double glazing, it was a priority to address the pool's liner.
Bolaños highlighted that once the works are completed and the facility reopens, citizens will benefit from a more modern and well-equipped pool, suitable for both swimming practice and the various courses and activities held throughout the year.
