The University of La Laguna has announced a new edition of its Cultural Awards, promoting artistic and musical production with six contests and a total prize fund of €14,700.

The University of La Laguna, through its Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension, has launched a new edition of its Cultural Awards. This initiative aims to foster artistic and musical production both within and outside the university community. The resolution was published on July 8th in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands.
The call includes a total of six contests with a maximum prize fund of €14,700. Currently, the guidelines for the V National Sculpture Award María Belén Morales, the XXI Music Award ULLROCK, the XXVIII International Photography Award Rafael Ramos García, and the XXVII National Painting Award Enrique Lite are available. The deadline for submitting entries for these four awards is August 19th.
Registration will be done online through the Mundoarti platform, using the links provided on the University of La Laguna's Cultural Awards website. Each call specifies the required documentation, technical requirements for the works, and the corresponding authorization and self-declaration forms.
These awards, continuously convened since 1996, reflect the institutional commitment of the University of La Laguna to the dissemination of knowledge and culture through various artistic expressions.
The V National Sculpture Award María Belén Morales is endowed with €3,000 and requires the submission of an anonymous PDF dossier with images of the work.
The XXI ULLROCK Music Award allows submissions with three to five musical tracks, offering a first prize of €1,400 and a second prize of €600.
In photography, the XXVIII International Photography Award Rafael Ramos García features two categories: best photographic series (€2,500) and best individual photograph (€800). Submissions can be an individual photograph or a collection of four images.
The XXVII National Painting Award Enrique Lite will distribute three prizes: €2,500 for the first, €1,500 for the second, and €1,000 for the third. Participants must submit a photograph of their pictorial work.
In addition to these four calls, the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands also includes the VI University Photography Contest via Instagram and the XXII University Short Story Contest for Book Day. Both will be added to the institutional website soon.
All information regarding the rules, registration forms, participation requirements, and necessary documentation is available on the University of La Laguna's Cultural Awards website.
