The La Laguna City Council is carrying out improvements outside La Vega Park, enabling new parking spaces and four electric vehicle charging points.

The conditioning works are being carried out in an area adjacent to República Argentina Avenue. This initiative is part of a broader plan by the council to increase parking availability in the municipality.

"We are aware that we must commit to the use of public transport, and we have specific actions for this, but we also have the commitment to create deterrent spaces of this kind so that people who wish to visit our historic center can leave their vehicle and access these streets, recognized as a World Heritage Site, on foot."

Initial works have involved earthmoving and preparing the necessary conduits. Once this phase is completed, the Municipal Services Area will proceed with the installation of the four electric vehicle charging points.
Subsequently, land conditioning work will resume for the extension of a new asphalt layer, which will ensure a uniform and durable surface for vehicle traffic. Finally, parking spaces will be properly delimited to optimize access and car circulation.
