A hiker has been rescued and assisted after suffering a fall in the Lomo Morín area, within the municipality of Los Silos, Tenerife.

The incident occurred on July 12, 2026, at 1:12 PM, when the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Safety Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 received an alert reporting that a hiker required medical assistance after a fall and could not continue her path.
The activated emergency services included a rescue helicopter from the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) and a specialized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC). GES rescuers reached the location, provided initial care to the affected person, and proceeded with the rescue.
The woman, who sustained a moderate lower limb trauma, was hoisted onto a stretcher into the aircraft to be evacuated to Tenerife North Airport. Once on the ground, SUC personnel assessed and treated the hiker, who was subsequently transferred by specialized ambulance to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria Hospital.
