A man was rescued from the sea at Las Ballenas beach, in Arona, Tenerife, after experiencing difficulties, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The incident took place off the coast of Arona, where a swimmer required urgent assistance. Two firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium entered the water to support the affected individual, who was already being assisted by a beach lifeguard. The combined effort aimed to keep the person in danger and their rescuers afloat.
Due to the difficulty of evacuating from the coast, the intervention of a Maritime Rescue vessel was necessary. The Salvamar Alpheratz proceeded to hoist the group aboard to transfer them to the port of Los Cristianos, where the swimmer would be evaluated by medical personnel.
Once ashore, personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the affected individual. It was determined that he had a minor health issue, and therefore, the man declined to be transferred to a medical center for further attention.
