The Screening Point team, a program from the Primary Care Management of Tenerife, participated in the 'Hola ULL' festival to bring prevention and promotion of sexual health closer to the young university population. This initiative, part of the community health strategy, aims to reinforce knowledge about available resources for the prevention and early diagnosis of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
During the event, information and awareness were provided on sexual health, STI prevention, and health resources in a close and confidential manner, positioning prevention as a fundamental tool for university well-being. This action is the result of collaboration between the Primary Care Management of Tenerife, the La Laguna City Council, and the University of La Laguna.
The Screening Point project, launched in February 2023, offers confidential and accessible early detection tests and provides guidance to reinforce STI prevention and promote self-care. Interested individuals can consult their health center for appointments.
