The State Meteorological Agency has forecast a hot day for this Monday in Tenerife, with temperatures expected to reach 34 degrees in the capital and mid-altitude areas.

The heatwave will mainly affect the mid-altitude areas of the west, south, and east of the island. The sky will remain mostly clear, although cloudy intervals are expected in the low-lying areas of the north during the early and late hours of the day, accompanied by light haze at altitude.
Regarding thermal values, temperatures are expected to remain stable along the north, west, and south coasts, while slight to moderate increases will occur in other areas. The rise in thermometers will be particularly notable in the eastern slope of the metropolitan area.
The wind will blow from the north with moderate intensity, with intervals of greater strength during the night in the northeast and southwest ends of the island. In the central peaks, the wind will be light to moderate and from the south.
At a regional level, the Canary Islands will experience a day of widespread heat. In Gran Canaria, temperatures could reach 37 degrees in high areas and mid-altitudes, while in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and La Gomera, maximums of up to 34 degrees will be reached.
