The Tenerife International Fashion Week (SIMTE) concluded its 2026 edition, transforming the Recinto Ferial into a global hub for men's barbering under the name Tenerife Barber Expo.

The closing day of SIMTE focused on innovation, international talent, and specialized training in men's grooming, establishing Tenerife as a worldwide benchmark in the personal care sector.
The insular counselor for Employment and Education of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Efraín Medina, highlighted the event's strategic importance for the professional development of young people and the consolidation of the barbering sector on the island, stating that "Tenerife is also a reference in training, creativity, and socioeconomic development." Medina concluded that the event "contributes to creating real opportunities for our youth."
The Zona Urban hosted the Show Barber, a high-level technical exhibition featuring national and international figures such as Oche Barber, Ismael de Mora, Kingillettes, Fran Aranda, Lolo Rodríguez, and Pau Puertas. Artists from Miami also participated, blending tradition with urban culture. Over 600 attendees witnessed these demonstrations.
The competition “Batalla Pro-Barbers Tenerife Barber Expo” brought together nearly thirty professionals in the Caja Negra, who showcased their skills in precision and creativity, reaffirming the current high standards of barbering.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony and the closing of the SIMTE 2026. The Tenerife Barber Expo successfully achieved its goal of professionalizing the sector and generating opportunities for young people.
SIMTE returned to the Recinto Ferial, with activities spread across the Zona Urban and Caja Negra. The offerings combined avant-garde urban fashion and haute couture, making the island the fashion epicenter from June 4th to 7th.
The XV International Young Designers Contest Tenerife Moda, where Yeremay Hidalgo took first place, marked the beginning of four days of fashion shows and related industry events.
