The initiative aims to raise awareness and promote citizen participation in the conservation of the Canary Islands' natural environment. Rabogato is an invasive plant that poses a significant threat to the biodiversity and ecosystems of the islands.
During the event, participants will identify and remove specimens of this plant, learning about the effects of invasive species and the importance of prevention. The activity will conclude with a talk-forum on the role of festivals in promoting sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of cultural events.
Keroxen, which promotes the defense of the natural, social, and cultural values of the islands, seeks through this action to reinforce its commitment to sustainability and territory-linked culture. The entity aims to improve local opportunities and foster respect for nature and Canarian culture.
