The Fuencaliente de La Palma City Council will host the twentieth edition of the ‘Walk for Health’ next Sunday, September 27th, a consolidated event aimed at promoting physical activity and enjoying the municipality's natural environment.

The activity will commence at 8:00 AM, starting and finishing at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The route covers approximately 8 kilometers, with an estimated duration of 3 hours and an easy-to-medium difficulty level.
The Councilor for Sports, Joel Hernández, highlighted the event's establishment: “reaching the twentieth edition shows that this ‘Walk for Health’ has become a consolidated and much-loved activity by our residents. We want it to continue being a day for sports, enjoying our trails, and, above all, a good time among family and friends”.
For his part, the mayor of Fuencaliente, Gregorio Alonso, emphasized the satisfaction of reaching this milestone: “completing twenty editions is a cause for satisfaction for the municipality. The ‘Walk for Health’ represents values we wish to continue promoting from the City Council, such as physical activity, well-being, and community spirit, while also highlighting our environment”.
The City Council encourages participation in this edition. Registrations can be made by calling 619 58 26 50. Attendees are advised to wear appropriate footwear and clothing, and to bring water and a small snack.
