The activity, which took place last Saturday, July 25th, brought together around 50 young people for a new session of the Candelaria 2026 Environmental Volunteering program. This time, the initiative focused on the marine environment and began with an environmental education talk on marine fauna and cetacean species present in the Canary Islands.
Subsequently, participants carried out an observation session from land in the coastal area of the Mirador de La Magdalena and a section of the Samarines trail.
“"Activities like this bring the municipality's youth closer to the value of our coastal environment and the importance of conserving the marine biodiversity of the Canary Islands, training new generations as environmental volunteers committed to Candelaria."
The program is developed in collaboration with the Office for Participation and Environmental Volunteering of the Cabildo de Tenerife and also included the participation of the Grupo Scout Ucanca.
