The Candelaria City Council and Aqualia, the company managing the water service, are starting the project to enhance the quality, safety, and reliability of the water supply for residents of the street.
The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, highlighted that the project, with an investment of approximately 7,000 euros, will reduce incidents and provide a more secure and efficient service. Currently, network renewals are also underway on Vence street, and those on Estrelitzia street have recently concluded.
The intervention addresses the current state of the network, which suffers from numerous breakdowns and an age indicating the end of its service life. Approximately 100 meters of piping on the right side of the street will be replaced with a more modern and efficient system.
The work will take place from Monday to Friday, between 07:00 and 16:00 hours. Temporary parking restrictions will be in place for the first 100 meters of the street during these hours. Residents are asked to respect the temporary signage and the instructions of the construction personnel.
Efforts will be made to maintain traffic flow on the left side of the street to facilitate access to garages, whenever technically feasible. Garages on the right side, where excavation and pipe installation will occur, will have no vehicular access during work hours, requiring vehicles to be moved between 07:00 and 16:00, Monday to Friday.
